Meet Our Elders
In accordance with biblical guidance, Northside is overseen by a team of elders rather than a single individual accountable to a "board." This group of elders is responsible for governing, guiding, nurturing (shepherding), and supervising the spiritual welfare of the church.
Each elder must be a member of the church and exemplify a life that meets the standards set forth in Scripture, reflecting the values, beliefs, and dedication of Northside Christian Church.

Our Beliefs
At our church, you will hear the word “gospel” repeatedly because it is the most important truth that we can know and experience. The gospel is not merely a message that needs to be shared with non-Christians, but also with Christians. It is not something that mature Christians move on from, but rather something that they move deeper into. The gospel is the lens in which we should view theology, ministry, and all aspects of life.
The Apostle Paul defined the word “gospel” concisely in 1st Corinthians 15:3-5 when he wrote, “Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.” Simply put, the gospel is all about Jesus’ life, death and resurrection, and the implications it has for us.

We are a community who firmly believes in God's Word.
Here at Northside our mission is to inspire people to follow Jesus by how we live, love, and serve. Whether you're just starting your relationship with Christ or if you've been following Him for decades, we invite you to join us. Everyone is welcome. Even if you don't yet believe that Jesus is your Lord and Savior, He invites you to begin the journey of following Him. We believe that your life will radically change when you follow Jesus.
Northside is a safe environment for any to come pursue God no matter where you are in your faith. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us. We look forward to seeing you soon!

SPREADING GOD'S WORD
Since 1964
On June 18, 1964, a group of people met to discuss the forming of a new church. It was decided that the first service would be held on June 28, 1964. The first service took place in Carpenter’s Union Hall, which was on the corner of Young and Holden Streets. There were 18 people present. Today, Northside continues to be a growing and dynamic ministry in Johnson County.
